Internship Programme
Overview
The objective of the Internship Programme is to provide short-term work experience at minimal cost to the employer so that young people emerging from tertiary institutions gain practical experience of a working environment and become accustomed to a commercial enterprise.
By taking on interns, not only do the companies and institutions open doors of opportunity to qualified, capable and enthusiastic young people, but as host organizations they too benefit form the programme.
CEO’s comments
The internship initiative reflects our and the participating companies sense of responsibility to help promising young Batswana to become business leaders in their field of interest and bring out the best in them. There are a lot of qualified, capable and enthusiastic young people out there and they deserve to be given a chance to explore their potential and capabilities.
We want to grow the programme. We encourage companies to contribute directly to the experience and exposure for young Batswana, to give them the opportunity to develop their skills. We are heartened by the positive feedback and support from companies, interns and from members of the public.
