Botswana IFSC will hold its fifth annual Career Fair on Saturday 4th October 2008 at Gaborone International Convention Centre. This year’s theme is “shaping graduates into professionals”.

The objectives of the fair are as follows:

• To provide an opportunity for organisations to profile their career planning and skills development initiatives
• To create an opportunity for companies in various sectors to interface with Batswana students, graduates and professionals.
• To raise public awareness on the Botswana IFSC Companies and their role in the national economic diversification programme.
• To create a platform for citizen companies active in various sectors, (including the financial services and ICT), to showcase themselves.
• To grow the Botswana IFSC internship programme and invite more companies to be involved in the programme.
• To provide guidance and career development to young graduates and young professionals.
• To sensitize both companies and individuals on the existence of the botsjobs.com online portal and encourage them to use it. www.botsjobs.com
• To promote a partnership between the private sector and locally based institutions providing training.

The Fair has been the springboard for many young people into their first job through direct contact with company executives and through the associated Internship Program.

The Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for all companies, particularly those in the Financial Services and Information Technology sectors to interact with Batswana students, graduates and young professionals.
