Career Fair

Botswana IFSC will hold its fourth annual Career Fair on Saturday 22nd September 2007 at Gaborone International Convention Centre. This year’s theme is “Entry Point to Excellence for Tomorrow’s Business Leaders”. The objectives of the fair are as follows:

• to create an opportunity for companies in various sectors to interface with Batswana students, gradutes and professionals;
• to create public awareness on the Botswana IFSC Companies and their role in the national economic diversification programme;
• to create a platform for citizen companies active in various sectors, (including the financial services and ICT), to showcase themselves;
• to grow the Botswana IFSC internship programme and invite more companies to be involved in the programme;
• to provide guidance and career development  to young graduates and young professionals;
• to sensitize both companies and individuals on the existence of the Botswana IFSC CV Database and encourage them to use it;
• to promote a partnership between the private sector and locally based institutions providing training

The Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for all companies, particularly those in the Financial Services and Information Technology sectors to interact with Batswana students, graduates and young professionals.
The Career Fair has been the springboard for many young people into their first job through direct contact with company executives and through the associated Internship Program.
